Shipping and Handling

There are three ways to ship a package, Ground, Air or Teleport. Ground is cheap and slow where Air is faster and bit more expensive and Teleport takes minutes and really expensive, there are also additional options that can be added to your shipping such as insurance and delivery confirmation.

Delivery Services

Ground Delivery

Ground delivery requires a given address or location be given, such as your apartment or favorite hang out like a bar or restaurant.

Hazard Charge 100c 0.05 If going to the Wasteland or a NoGo zone in a city there is an additional 100c hazard fee.
Insurance 1c per 100c insured If your package gets broken or lost before it is received too bad, you can however insure it for a specific value up to the cost of the product. If you collect the insurance you don’t get the delivery or insurance amount back only the amount you insured and the delivery service must also collect whatever is left of the product.
Delivery Confirmation 2c The package won’t be released unless the correct individual indicated presents their City State ID card and signs a release form.

Air Delivery

Packages sent by air delivery typically use drones to deliver a package, packages weighing more then 30 lbs however are delivered by an Aerodyne van and driver. You can either give the air delivery service a GPS location to make the drop or use your mobile device like cell phone. If you use the GPS option the air delivery will be made to that location. If you use the mobile device the air delivery service will home in on your location even if you are on the move.

Teleport Delivery

Need your spell components, or a gun or something RIGHT NOW! Use the instant teleportation delivery service (not really instant but close). You must supply an exactly location, via GPS or mobile device or arcane instruction. Packages are limited to 50 lbs. or less and non living items as they use the Teleport Object spell. There is no Delivery Confirmation available with this type of service.

Insurance 1c per 10c insured If your package gets teleported into a rock too bad, you can however insure it for a specific value up to the cost of the product. If you collect the insurance you don’t get the delivery or insurance amount back only the amount you insured but the higher rate means the delivery service doesn’t care to get the product back, as that is usually impossible.

Mishap

When sending a package you or the GM should roll the Mishap percentage to see if something happened to it. If you roll the number or over your package arrives ok, otherwise something happened to it. Use the chart below to find out what happened to your package.

Roll a d6 Description Effect
1 Delayed For some reason your package was delayed by 2d12 minutes.
2 Wrong Location Your package got sent to the wrong address unless you got delivery confirmation added, you will need to go to the address and pick it up or use your insurance, you got insurance right?
3 Lost Unless you paid for delivery confirmation the package was lost. Contacting the delivery support and making a Diplomacy roll check of DC 15 + 1 per 1000c will get them to send you a new one but the Transit Time starts over.
4 Broken The item arrived with the broken condition, hopefully you got the insurance.
5 Wrong Item The item is not what you ordered. This will take a Diplomacy roll check of DC 15 + 1 per 1000c to get them to send you a new item and Transit Times will start over.
6 Cursed! The item you received is cursed, GM’s call on what that curse is.
